About this Blog

Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog.  My name is Dave, and I am the founder of the Law Office of David E. Peterson, in Danvers, Massachusetts.  My practice focuses on Estate Planning, Probate, and Corporate Law.  What that really means is that I help people, families, and local businesses to plan for and respond to important events that touch all of our lives.

As an attorney, I meet with clients and listen to their concerns, with the goal of understanding them in their varied roles, in their families, in their careers, and in their communities.  I strive to educate them about the vast array of legal opportunities at our disposal, which allow us to exceed our goals.  And I aim to build lasting relationships, so that I can serve as a lifelong adviser.

I grew up in Leominster, Massachusetts, in a vibrant, Norman Rockwell-esque neighborhood.  I attended college at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Design in 2004.  In 2008 I graduated from Boston College Law School, where my interest in trusts and estates  began.

After law school, I worked for Fusaro, Altomare & Ermilio, and Estate Preservation Law Offices, both in Worcester, Massachusetts.  Both firms had very sophisticated estate planning practices, where I was able to hone my skills at developing solutions for clients across every station in life.  In 2010 I left Worcester and moved to Swampscott, Massachusetts to practice law on the North Shore region of the Commonwealth.  In my career thus far, I have drafted hundreds of wills and trusts, administered numerous estates, and represented many companies in several phases of business.

In January of 2011, I married my lovely wife, Dan, who is a constant source of support and inspiration.  In February of 2011 I opened The Law Office of David E. Peterson, in Danvers.  Opening a new practice in a new area has been a great challenge, and immensely satisfying.  In June of 2011 I began this blog, with a twofold purpose.  First, as a medium to educate the public about various legal issues that I see in my practice.  Second, as a medium for my personal commentary on interesting legal and non-legal issues of the day.

Thanks again for reading.  I hope that you enjoy the blog.  I hope that you learn something new each time that you visit.  And I hope that you will contact me if you have any questions, comments, advice, or if there is any way that I may be of service to you, your family, or your business.
